We are dedicated to serving international families, assisting in the communication between schools and families, overcoming cultural barriers, and providing support and protection for the development of students.

Meet the team

Christopher Daunt Watney has more than forty years experience in education and has been a Deputy Principal and Principal for twenty five years. He has worked in single sex boys’ and girls’ schools as well as being Head of K-12 schools for thirteen years. He was Head of English at Pymble Ladies College and The Armidale School where he was also Senior Housemaster. Latterly he was Deputy Principal at Queenwood and before that Head of Trinity Anglican School and SCECGS Redlands (Redlands). Christopher Daunt Watney has a strong academic and pastoral record and an intimate knowledge and understanding of educational systems including the IB and other internationally recognised credentials. He has a detailed understanding of independent schools and university requirements across Australia and overseas, and has worked extensively with overseas students studying in Australia.

From 2016 to 2021 Angela was the Head of Queenwood Junior School where she demonstrated outstanding leadership, management and communication skills, overseeing 50 staff and 300 students and continually maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders. Angela has a reputation of going above and beyond and her students’ wellbeing and academic performance has always been her priority.

Angela holds a Diploma of Teaching, a Masters of Education and is a Justice of the Peace. She has more than 35 year’s experience in the education sector and has been employed in both public and independent schools, including Ascham and Cranbrook. She has extensive knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and has worked with numerous universities, including Macquarie University, where she mentored and supported early career teachers.

Angela has also held positions in school administration, public relations, publishing and editing. She has recently been appointed to the board of an education foundation and has been invited to work with The Duke of Edinburgh International Award scheme, developing and delivering programs to empower young people.

Juan Zhang is a passionate educator specialising in Mandarin Chinese language and International Communication. She has a successful teaching and training career spanning 30 years in primary and secondary schools, and Australian university, as well as corporate training in various industries. Juan has a Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering from China, an Asian Language Teaching Certificate, and a Master Degree in Education, as well as an Australian (NAATI) Accreditation for Professional Translation and Interpreting. Juan has taught Mandarin at MLC, Sydney Boys High, Killarney, Queenwood and Cranbrook School from beginners to HSC and IB in Australia with numerous top state ranking students.

Juan focuses on student’s achievements as well as their wellbeing, as well as teaching in Queenwood, she was the International Programs Coordinator, in charge of student exchanges, education tours and the welfare of non-English background students. She has also been a Chief Examiner and Examiner of NSW Chinese HSC committee for 14 years and an HSC marker and judge.

Juan had also worked as the Head Mandarin Trainer for Australian National Centre for Language Training, a federal government initiative, specialising in corporate Mandarin language and inter-cultural communication training with clients including the Seven Network, Australian Meat Board, ANZ Banking Group, Symantec Australia, People Soft, British Telecom, HSBC, Charles Parson and Allegan, etc. In addition to this, Juan has lectured at the Institute of Languages UNSW for 15 years, teaching NAATI Translation & Interpreting Exam Prep Course, MBA language component, Corporate Chinese and Migrant English.
